Ania Brzeski (b.1994, London) is a visual artist and designer based in Brooklyn, NY. Her practice explores how language shapes personal identity. Working in textiles, drawing and painting, she examines how relational ties emerge through, and are confined within, our conceptions of language.

Her work plays with the visual elements of writing to create coded, encrypted and asemic texts expressing the potentiality of meaning. Repetition is a defining element of her practice, a remnant of her background as a production maker.

For the past seven years, Brzeski has run the design studio if a then b, creating handmade textiles and ceramics that celebrate inherited craft traditions. Since moving into a fine art practice in 2023, she has presented two solo exhibitions at Park Life Gallery and Norden Living Gallery, multiple group shows, and exhibited at FOG Art+Design Fair and SFMOMA Makers Fair. Her work has been featured in London Craft Week, Monocle magazine, and at leading design stores and restaurants across the UK and California.
